This feature requires a Vimeo Enterprise plan with the Events feature added.

Event setup
To add a virtual event to a Showcase, open the Showcase and then select Create live event. Only one event can be created per Showcase.
Much of what follows is similar to creating a live event on your account, except that the event takes place within your Showcase. Some differences to note are:
- The viewing privacy is determined based on the Showcase privacy settings.
- If your Showcase privacy is set to Only people on my team, only team members will be able to access the chat.
- In the Embed tab, you can adjust the appearance of the embedded player and grab the embed code for the event and the live chat. Note that the customizations made here do not impact the player inside the Showcase.
The Destinations tab allows you to simulcast this stream to other destinations such as Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, or other RTMP destinations. You can also copy the link to your Showcase here.
Going live
From here you can choose to Stream via RTMP to grab the RTMP URL and Stream Key to input into your streaming application, or Stream with Vimeo to use our web-based production tool. You or your team members can also manage simulcast destinations as well as share the event, moderate chat, control polls, Q&A (with moderation), and graphics overlays, and monitor your stream’s health.
Live events will automatically be added as your Featured Video in the Showcase, but you can change this by dragging the video into a custom order in your Showcase settings.
Viewer experience
When the event is live, users can watch by navigating to the Showcase and clicking the Watch now button that appears. Viewers will see chat, polls, and Q&A to the right of the player (in that order) depending on what you have enabled. You can enable and disable any interactivity feature throughout your event as desired.
If you have chat enabled, viewers can click into a Q&A or Poll to expand that panel; to return to the chat, they can click the X that appears in the upper right corner of the panel.
If you don’t have chat enabled, viewers can click between Q&A and Polls at the bottom of the side panel. They could also click the ••• menu to either pop out the panel or minimize it.
Clicking the speech bubble icon in the upper left corner of the player will also show and hide the side panel.
After the event
To end your event, be sure to click End event on the live preview page or End on the web-based production tool page (depending on your streaming method). This will begin the archiving process for your video, which you can access from your library and viewers can rewatch from the Showcase page.
A new upcoming event with the same title will be added automatically. You can edit the settings for the next event by clicking the corresponding Go live button on the Showcase settings page (you may need to unhide it by clicking the eyeball icon first).
If you do not yet want to promote your next live event within the Showcase, navigate to the Showcase settings page and click the eyeball icon next to the upcoming event to hide it.
You can feature the next upcoming event by clicking the ••• icon to the right of it and selecting Feature.
You can delete an upcoming event by clicking the ••• icon to the right of it and selecting Delete; this will remove the event, the chat history, and the Q&A history, but previously streamed events will remain archived with your other videos. Deleting an upcoming event will allow you to create a new event in the Showcase.
