On Advanced, Premium, and Enterprise accounts with Events features added, team Owners, Administrators, and Contributor Plus members have the ability to add Live Events into folders in the Video Library. This creates a more convenient way to create virtual events and share them with the appropriate people on your team.

Move an event into a folder
-
After an event is created, select it on the Live Events page by checking the box on the left-hand side of the event.
⚠️Note: If your role is Contributor Plus, your live event will be created in your Private folder. In order to start the event, you will need to move it into a shared team folder. - Click Add to video library above the event list.
💡Tip: You can add multiple events into a folder. - Select the folder you would like the virtual event to go to, then click Confirm.
⚠️Note: You can only add Recurring Live Events to folders. Additionally, the virtual event needs to be created outside of the folder first.
Once a Live Event is added to a folder, it will inherit all of the folder permissions. Everyone who has access to the chosen folder on your team will be able to watch the virtual event regardless of which privacy settings the event has.
For example, if a Live Event is password protected and placed into a folder, there is no need for anyone on your team who has access to the folder to put in a password. Anyone who is not in that folder or on your team would still be required to enter the password.
Events that are only meant for team members with access to that folder should be set to "Private."
Go live to an event in a folder
To set up and go live with your event, instead of going to the Live Events page, navigate to the folder within the library and click on the event. This will bring you to the event’s Live Settings page where you can configure and customize your event and either go live via the web-based production tool page or RTMP. Learn more at 'Overview: Create and go live to an event'.
You and the permitted team members can see your Live Event on the team account home page in the respective folder you placed it in.
When you end a live event, it will archive in that same folder. You will see this reflected in the Library as well. All archived clips will inherit their folder’s permissions and have the same settings and customizations as the Live Event.
⚠️Note: Only scheduled events appear on the home page. To ensure your Live Event appears on the team home page, be sure to schedule a specific date or select repeating days on your event settings page.
Customize recipient view
When you click on the live event from here, viewers will be brought to the recipient view page, where the team can watch the event and have access to all of the event’s interactive features such as chat, Q&A, and polls, without outside distractions such as other recommended videos. Any customizations made under the event’s Embed settings will also apply to the player on this page, as well as the embedded player.
You can customize your live event’s recipient view page by selecting the Player icon on the lefthand panel and then Customize Player. You will be redirected to a new page with all customization options available.
You can choose to show your viewers the playlist of your archived events. You can also autoplay the next video in the playlist within the same recurring event.
You can customize the player's customized colors from the Customization menu. Scroll down to find all of the options.
Move an existing event in a folder to another folder
- To move a virtual event into another folder or subfolder, you can select the checkbox next live event and click the Move button.
- Select the new folder, then click Confirm.
If you decide to move your Live Event into another folder, all archived videos from that event will remain in the current folder and do not move. If you move the Live Event, archives will not be moved by default. If you want to move the event's archives into that folder, find them in the folder, select the checkbox next to each video, then select Move above and select the new folder.
Only team Owners and Admins can delete events entirely from the account.
