We’ve updated the video page to put more focus on the video and make it easier for viewers to engage while watching. This design is optimized for the various aspect ratios uploaded to Vimeo and for mobile layouts. The new video page will also allow seamless integration of upcoming features.
These changes are gradually rolling out over the next several weeks. During this time, some users will see the new features, while others may not.
What’s changed
For now, you’ll notice a few changes:

More focus on the video
Videos take center stage in the new viewing experience, filling the top of the screen. -
Switch between layouts
You can choose to watch the video in full width or select the layout icon below the player for a side-by-side view with a smaller player and an expanded comments panel.

Easier access to video details
Video details like title and description are easier to reference while watching. -
Improvements to engagement
It’s now easier to engage with videos while you watch, with comments, sharing, downloads, and likes all easy to access below the video player. -
New access point for transcripts
For videos with transcripts, you’ll now access them from within the video player. -
Find answers with Vimeo AI
Use the Ask Vimeo AI button below the player to find answers from the video transcript. Use a pre-populated question or type your own. -
Keep watching from a playlist
Below the main player, you will see more videos from the same channel or profile.
