This feature requires an Enterprise plan on Vimeo OTT. Content hubs are a beta feature that requires activation before the settings become available on your OTT site. To get started, please get in touch with the Vimeo OTT Subscription Service Platform Team.
Content hubs are a powerful way to organize and display your content on your Vimeo OTT site. Instead of having a single Browse page, you can create multiple, distinct browse pages called Hubs to showcase your video library in tailored ways. You can create up to six separate hubs for your site, grouping content by age, genre, or other themes for both TV and movies. This article summarises how to create, organise, and manage your hubs.

Supported Platforms
- Available on: Web and apps v.9.2 and higher.
- Until all your apps are updated to v9.2, only the Browse hub will appear. To ensure all viewers have access, keep all content within the Browse hub.
- Once all apps are on v9.2, you can display distinct content in each Hub.
Activating content hubs
- In the Content dropdown of your admin sidebar, select Hubs.
- Click on Activate hubs to activate the feature.
What happens upon activation?
- A new Browse hub is automatically created.
- All existing categories are automatically added to the Browse hub to keep content visible.
- Previously, the category order in the Categories tab determined the browse page layout.
- Now the visibility and organization are managed inside hubs.
Creating and managing your hubs
To create a new hub:
- On the Hubs page, click + New hub.
- Enter a name.
- Upload a thumbnail (1:1 aspect ratio).
- Click Add Category to select categories for the hub.
- To feature a category, click the “…” menu and select Feature this category. A pin icon appears next to the category.
- Set the hub’s status to Publish to make it visible. Leave as Private to hide it.
To reorder hubs:
- On your main hubs list page, you will see all of your hubs.
- You can drag and drop the hubs to reorder how they display to the viewer.
Hub settings
Within each hub, you can click on Settings to configure the following:
- Custom URL: Customize the direct URL for the hub.
- Thumbnail: Upload a thumbnail image for your hub. This image is used in the Splash Screen navigation option and should have a one-to-one aspect ratio.
- Publish/Unpublish: Control the visibility of the hub on your site.
Hub navigation options
Two ways to display hubs to viewers:
- Top Nav – Adds each published hub to your top navigation bar.
-
Splash Screen – Displays a landing page with thumbnails for each hub.
- Viewers can click a hub thumbnail to enter it.
- Clicking Exit Hub returns them to the splash screen to choose another hub.
Important changes to categories
- The Categories page now lists all categories in your account.
- Category display order is now managed within hubs, not in the Categories tab.
- When creating a new category:
- You can add it directly to one or more hubs.
- Or, leave it out of hubs and add it later.
