Term	Definition
Avg. percent watched	How much of a video is watched per view, on average. Calculated by total time watched divided by the video’s length, averaged across all views. Available as mean_percent_watched in the Analytics API As of Aug 7, 2024 this metric will account for repeats and skips during viewers’ watch time.
Avg. time watched	The total time watched divided by the number of views Available as mean_seconds_watched in the Analytics API As of Aug 7, 2024 this metric will account for repeats and skips during viewers’ watch time.
Bandwidth	Analytics about the data required to deliver your videos from Vimeo See also: Bandwidth report walkthrough
Bandwidth GB	The amount data required to deliver your video from Vimeo, in GB See also: Bandwidth report walkthrough
Call to Action Click rate	The percentage of clicks out of total call to action impressions
Call to Action Clicks	The total number of clicks on a call to action in a video
Call to Action Impressions	The total number of times a call to action was loaded in a video
Card Clicks	The total number of clicks on all cards in a video
Card Impressions	The total number of times cards were loaded in a video
Cards Click rate	The percentage of clicks out of total card impressions
Comments	The number of comments on a video Available as comments in the Analytics API
Content	The video entities in your Library See also: How to filter by content using the analytics dashboard
Date	Analytics about the date(s) that your videos have been loaded and/or watched on that we can track Available in the Analytics API See also: How to access the Date report
Device	Analytics about the device type(s) that your videos have been loaded and/or viewed from that we can track Available as device_type and os in the Analytics API See also: How to access the Device report
Downloads	The number of times the video file was requested to be downloaded from a video Available as downloads in the Analytics API
Drop-in time	The time(s) that views started within the duration of a video
Drop-out time	The time(s) that views ended within the duration of a video
Engaged attendees	The number of attendees that made at least 1 Interaction while in a Venue
Engagement	Analytics to measure how your videos capture and retain viewers' attention
Finishes	The number of times that the last 2 seconds of the video was watched in a session Available as finishes in the Analytics API As of Aug 7, 2024, finishes are more accurate for short videos (videos less than 30 seconds long).
Impressions	The number of times the video has been loaded by the Vimeo player Available as downloads in the Analytics API See also: What’s the difference between Vimeo impressions and third-party impressions? As of Aug 7, 2024 this metric will exclude third-party impressions.
Interactive Clicks	The number of times viewers click on interactive elements (ex. hotspots, overlays) in Interactive videos
Interactive Engaged viewers	The number of viewers who interacted with interactive elements (hotspots) at least once
Interactive Engaged views	The number of views where at least 1 interactive click occurred
Interactive Hotspot clicks	The total number clicks on interactive hotspots
Interactive Poll engaged viewers	The number of viewers who interacted with Interactive Polls at least once
Interactive Poll Participation rate	The percentage of unique poll responses out of total poll impressions
Interactive Poll responses	The number of poll responses that were submitted on interactive polls
Likes	The number of likes on a video Available as like in the Analytics API
Live avg. percent watched	How much of an event is watched per view, on average, during the live stream. Calculated by total time watched divided by the video’s length, averaged across all views. Available as percent_seconds_watched and filter_streaming_type=live in the Analytics API As of Aug 7, 2024 this metric will account for repeats and skips during viewers’ watch time.
Live avg. time watched	The total time watched divided by the number of views during the live stream Available as mean_seconds_watched and filter_streaming_type=live in the Analytics API As of Aug 7, 2024 this metric will account for repeats and skips during viewers’ watch time.
Live peak views	The highest number of concurrent views during the live stream This metric used to be known as “Peak viewers” but has been since changed to more accurately represent the data
Live total time watched	Total time watched by all viewers during the live stream Available as total_seconds_watched and filter_streaming_type=live in the Analytics API As of Aug 7, 2024 this metric will account for repeats and skips during viewers’ watch time.
Live total views	The number of views on the live event Available as views and filter_streaming_type=live in the Analytics API
Live views	The number of times the live stream was viewed, including by repeat viewers Available as views and filter_streaming_type=live in the Analytics API See also: What’s the difference between Vimeo impressions and third-party impressions? As of Aug 7, 2024 this metric will exclude external views (same as third-party impressions).
Live watching now	The current number of views on the live event
Region	Analytics about the geographical region(s) that your videos have been loaded and/or viewed from that we can track Available as country and city in the Analytics API
Registrants	The number of people who registered to watch an event or video
Registration Attended	Indicates whether an event registrant played the event after registering
Registration Watch time	The percentage of time watched, excluding repeats and accounting for skips, out of the total duration of the live event
Social Comments	The number of comments on a video shared via Vimeo to a social connection (e.g., YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Facebook)
Social Likes	The number of likes on a video shared via Vimeo to a social connection (e.g., YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Facebook)
Social Platform	Analytics that we track for each platform based on the social connections where your videos have been published (e.g., views from LinkedIn) See also: How to access the Social Platform report
Social Reposts	The number of reposts on a video shared through Vimeo to X
Social Video	Analytics we track for each video from the social connections where your videos have been published (e.g., views from a video on LinkedIn) See also: How to access the Social Video report
Social Views	The number of times a video is played on social platforms that it has been published to, counted separately from Vimeo views
Source	Analytics about the URL(s) on Vimeo or across the web that your videos have been loaded and/or watched from that we can track Available as embed_domain and embed_domain_path in the Analytics API
Team	Viewing activity analytics for Team members on your Team account Available in the Team User Analytics API See also: Team analytics
Team Videos viewed	The number of videos in your Library that your Team member have viewed at least once in the time range specified Available in the Team User Analytics API See also: Team analytics
Team Viewers	The number of Team members on your account that have watched at least 1 video in your Library in the time range specified Available in the Team User Analytics API See also: Team analytics
Third-party impressions	The number of times the direct file link is used to load the video in a third-party player or web page. See also: Direct links to video files See also: What’s the difference between Vimeo impressions and third-party impressions?
Total time watched	Total time watched for a video, expressed in HH:MM:SS, across all views. Available as total_seconds_watched in the Analytics API As of Aug 7, 2024, this metric will account for repeats and skips during viewers’ watch time.
Total time watched (incl. repeats)	Total time watched for a video including repeat viewing of all or parts of the video.
Type	The entity type of your content in your Library, including live and non-live videos Available as streaming_type in the Analytics API
Unique impressions	Like impressions, but an impression is only counted once per each viewer that can be identified as unique Available as unique_impressions in the Analytics API
Unique viewers	The number of viewers that have played a video, regardless of how long they watched. Each viewer is counted once, even if they have played the video multiple times Available as unique_viewers in the Analytics API
Video	Video analytics about the videos in your Library Available as video in the Analytics API See also: How to access the Video report
Video duration	The length of the video, in seconds
View rate	The percentage of views per impression See also: What is my view rate?
Viewer retention % of total views	The number of views out of total views on the video at each second of the video See also: About viewer retention stats & FAQ: Viewer retention stats
Viewer retention Views	The number of views at each second of the video by viewers that watched at least 10 seconds of the video See also: About viewer retention stats & FAQ: Viewer retention stats
Views	The number of times the video is played on the Vimeo player. A view is counted when any point of the video is played, regardless of how long the video is watched. Available as views in the Analytics API See also: What’s the difference between Vimeo impressions and third-party impressions? As of Aug 7, 2024 this metric will exclude external views (same as third-party impressions).
Vimeo on Demand Gross revenue	The total revenue generated from video units sold on Vimeo On Demand See also: About analytics for Vimeo On Demand
Vimeo on Demand Sales	The number of times a Vimeo On Demand video has been purchased
