If you need to reorganize your content, you can transfer a live event from one Workspace to another. This article explains the process and the important consequences of moving a live event.

What to know before you transfer your live event between Workspaces.

Administrator Permissions:
- You must be an Organization Administrator or a Workspace Administrator in both the original Workspace and the destination Workspace to move a live event.

Types: The following types of events are movable:
- Live Production and RTMP Mode if they are not live.
- Venue events, if they are not live or archived.
⚠️Note: Moving live events is a permanent and irreversible action that will impact the following. This may include loss of data. Our Support Team will not be able to recover these changes. Note these considerations before moving a live event.

Analytics:
- Transferred Live Events will lose all previously collected analytics.

Auto Closed Captions:
- Events will use the Auto CC minutes that are associated with the destination Workspace.
- Engagement Data: Transferred Live Events will lose all previously collected Chat, Polls, and Q&A.
- Extended Streaming (24/7): Available if the destination Workspace has Extended Streaming. For a workaround, visit <Link to Troubleshooting article>

Videos added to live events:
- Videos added to live events do not transfer with the event when it is moved from one Workspace to another.

- This playlist does not move to the destination Workspace when the Event is transferred.

Simulcasting integrations:
- Simulcast integrations that were connected are now disconnected in the new Workspace. They will need to be reconnected. To learn how, visit About the integrations hub. Integrations are managed on a per-user basis, allowing for Workspace Admins, Contributors, and Contributor Plus users to manage marketing connections
Additionally, the following impacts are made to Event Registrations:
- Registrant data, customized emails, and customized registration forms will transfer with live events to the destination workspaces.
- Customized emails and the registration form will transfer to the destination workspace.
- Users must reconnect to email lists as the connections will disconnect.
How to move a live event
If you are an administrator in both Workspaces, you can move a live event between Workspaces. The process for moving a live event is similar to moving other content from your library.
- Navigate to your library and select the Events folder.
- Select the vertical ellipses (⋮) to the right of the title of your live event and select Move Event (or Move Venue).
- In the window that appears, select the destination Workspace for the event.
- A final confirmation window will appear, warning you of the consequences of moving your Live Event.. You must acknowledge this warning to proceed.
- Select the Move button to complete the transfer
