This feature requires an Enterprise plan.
Owners and Admins of Vimeo Enterprise accounts with custom subdomains can create an allowlist to restrict access to certain administrative features by specifying allowed IP addresses, ranges, or CIDR blocks. When activated, this setting blocks login attempts to admin functions from IP addresses that are not explicitly permitted.
This article talks about how to edit an allowlist by updating the nicknames of the entries or removing the entries from the list.
In this article:
How to edit nicknames
You can edit the nickname of your IP address. Due to verification needed for IP addresses, you cannot edit the IP address itself. You will need to remove the address and re-add it if you need to edit the number.
To edit the nickname for an IP address from the allowlist:
- Select the overflow menu (⋮) at the right of the IP address you want to edit the nickname for.
- Select Edit.
- Edit the nickname and select Save.
How to remove addresses from the allowlist:
You can remove IP addresses from the allowlist at any time. Note that you will not be able to remove your own IP address that you’ve added to the allowlist. Another Admin or the account owner will be able to.
To remove an IP address from the allowlist:
- Select the overflow menu (⋮) at the right of the IP address you want to remove.
- Select Remove from the menu.
- The entry will remove automatically.
