Hovering over the lines of the graph will display the data from all the videos you have published on YouTube and Facebook. You can also apply advanced filters, which allow you to filter by video.
The table you see on the social video report differs from the table you see on other advanced analytics reports. On the social video report table, you will find the following data synced from your published video: views, shares, likes, comments, total time watched, average percent watched, and average time watched.
Users can view engagement metrics for all of the videos they've published to YouTube and/or Facebook, even analytics data for the videos published to their YouTube or Facebook accounts not through Vimeo. This allows you to streamline your workflow, and view all of your video analytics information in one central location on Vimeo.
To access this report, you’ll need to first connect your Facebook or YouTube account to your Vimeo account through the Connected Apps section in your account settings.
Social Platform report
While the Social Video Report allows you to view analytics for individual videos published on either Facebook or YouTube, your Social Platform Report allows you to compare the analytics of all videos by social platform. This will give you an overview of which social platform your videos are performing best on.
In this report, you’ll see an overview of your video performance by platform, which can be sorted by individual (or groups of) videos. Like the Social Video Report, you will be able to view analytics data for videos on your YouTube and Facebook accounts, even if they haven’t been published to those platforms through Vimeo.
You can apply advanced filters to sort the videos displayed on the graph by date, video title, and ‘platform’ using the drop-down menus at the top of the graph.
To access this report, you’ll need to first connect your Facebook or YouTube account to your Vimeo account through the Connected Apps section in your account settings.
Filter by content
For Contributor and Contributor Plus Team members, there is a video limit on the Analytics Dashboard and Reports. You will be able to select and view analytics for up to 2,000 videos at a time.
If nothing is selected in the Content Filter, the content will automatically select the top 2,000 last uploaded videos on the account that the user has access to.
How to filter by content
The Content filter at the top of your Analytics dashboard gives you the ability to run reports for specific videos, folders, or a combination of both. This filter provides a granular view of your content’s performance based on your particular reporting needs.
Select the Content drop-down menu in order to do the following:
- Search for videos or folders by name
- See how many videos are within each folder (click the arrow to see details)
- Select and deselect videos and/or folders for reporting
After making your selections from within the Content menu, click Apply to populate the Analytics dashboard.
